Gathering and Praise
*Call to Worship (leader/people)
God has called us to worship – enter the LORD’s presence with praise and
thanksgiving.
We praise the LORD for the way we are made; for each breath, each step,
each moment in our lives.
The psalmist says we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Only a God of love
would take the time to create each individual. God’s hand is on us even before
we are born; God’s love surrounds us from even before the time we take our first
breath. Wherever we go, God has ordained the path and purpose for our
life-journey.
Wonderful are the works of God! Wonderful is the love of his Son, Jesus!
Wonderful is the power of the Spirit! Praise the LORD!

Confession and Grace*Prayer of CONFESSION (leader/people) Because God already knows everything about us, this time of confession is
where we can enter God’s presence in complete honesty. So let us pour out
our hearts with freedom and confess all that keeps us apart from God.
Let us pray. Loving God, you call us to worship you in spirit and in truth. But we
confess that we often worship not your true self but who we wish you
to be. We too often ask you to bless what we do rather than seeking to do
what you bless. Forgive us for seeking “a way out” when we should be
seeking a way to follow. Help us to understand what you desire for us,
and to make your desire our own. Forgive the sins that keep us apart
from you and hear us as we pray . . .

Friends, hear this good news: God’s grace is enough. If we have humbly and
honestly confessed our sins and turned back to God, we are forgiven through
Jesus Christ! Rejoice in the never-ending love of our all-powerful, awesome God!
Thanks be to God!

Prayers of the People
THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
